Maranatha Baptist Church of Western Oaks is an Independent Baptist church that loves God and loves people. We believe the Bible is inspired and preserved in the King James Version and that if we preach it and seek to live according to it's teachings it will help our lives, our families, our community and our nation as well as the world.

We are a "Country Church in the Heart of the City" and our people are friendly just like country folks. We love the old-time gospel music and we don't sing the new contemporary music. We go soul winning each week and still have three services a week: Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night.

Our people love missionaries and love giving to help missionaries reach the world for Christ. The highlight of each year is our Missions Conference in October when we take the week to focus on missions around the world. We also have missionaries speaking and preaching at our church each month.

We aren't really a large church, but we have a large heart for God and for reaching others. You won't find a better group of teachers and workers who love people and love to teach others about the Lord Jesus Christ and how to serve Him.

Dear Friend,

In our society today people are looking for answers to all the hurt, the doubt,  the deception, the loneliness and the problems they have.

In trying to find the answers, they seemingly seek help from all the wrong places.

We can help you find the answers to all of life's questions through the study of the Bible.  Here at Maranatha Baptist Church of Western Oaks, we preach the Bible as the Word of God.

We would like to invite you to attend our services and find out for yourself what kind of church you've been missing.

If we can help you, please, contact us here at the church.

                                                                 Sincerely,
                                                                 Pastor Charley O'Daniel

How To Make A Wonderful Church
        -by Amanda Davidson-

First - take a cowboy from a small town who loves God and missions, loves to help people and would give you his shirt--or tie if you needed it. He'll be the pastor.

The long suffering pastor's wife multitasks as the secretary, adult ladies' class and the painist. Her sweetness can get her into any home.
Take a color blind skinny boy from the Rez to be the song leader. With his love for God, the King James Bible, and sarcasm, he doubles nicely for the youth pastor.

Next - add an eccentric older man to run a bus and the Jr Church. Who, with his unbelievably sweet wife, makes every young person in the church their grandchild.

Throw in a group of teenagers that are willing to run bus routes, help out in Sunday School classes, and sing in the choir.

Teachers that are willing to spend time to train the kids in their classes are a must. (Added a generous ammount, you can never have to many)

Last - add people who want to learn the Bible. People that are willing to come to church despite six inches of snow and a layer of ice.

Mix all of these with old fashioned preaching and music, add the Holy Spirit, and you have a great church.
